LGN and the European Space Agency (ESA BIC in based in Austria) have launched a colaboration to drastically reduce the bandwidth required when sending critical updates from satellites and drones to earth observation monitoring stations.
There are two reasons for doing this. Firstly, we want to help when it comes to tracking the important changes to our planet. Secondly, LGN technology in space is just cool.
The project will change the game with regards to the amount of data that needs to be passed between base stations, drones and satellites whilst also giving hyper resolution to live satellite feeds.
It’s an ambitious goal but our ESA friends based in Graz are awesome partners and we look forward to sharing some results with you in the future.
See you soon! Dan
